WHOLE30- DAY6-8 RECAP!

I am more than surviving guys, I am thriving ! I am feeling so good! I went to a birthday party Saturday night, snacked on carrots and guac, and brought an Rx Bar with me, and I stayed exactly on plan! I saw all the delicious food they had, cake, cupcakes, cookies, subs, etc. But I did not cave in. I had prepared and made dinner for the family and I before we went so I would go there feeling satisfied and not deprived. Its all in the prep guys. To fail to plan is PLANNING TO FAIL.  It’s just not worth it. For 30 seconds of satisfaction? Nah… not today Satan, NOT TODAY! I left the party and went to bed feeling stronger and better about myself.

My sleep has been incredible since I began this. I sleep like a ROCK. It is fantastic. My flare ups in my joints have been non existent so far. I am only on day 8, so not sure if that is just by chance or not. But I can NOT complain! It’s a great feeling waking up and being able to bend my fingers, and still fit my wedding rings on without all the swelling. Fingers crossed this is a long term thing!

One thing I can bitch about? Aside from the constant trips to the bathroom? THE FREAKING DISHES! Oh my god, it is truly nonstop. Cooking real meals, from whole foods…. yields a lot of freaking dishes. But it’s weird, that I am not loathing it as much as I normally would. Maybe because I am kinda proud of these great meals I have been trying and cooking up for my family, and everyone has loved them! And yes, everyone is eating the same meals that I am eating! Sometimes I make an extra ” side dish ” for them to go along with it, such as pasta or macaroni and cheese, or rice. But that’s it. Even the girls and my critic Hayden is enjoying them. And that’s a giant freakin WIN WIN in my book!

I wasn’t really feeling eggs this morning, so I switched it up this morning and had my shake for breakfast, Cafe latte made with water and almond milk with some pumpkin pie spice in it and a banana w almond butter. It was delicious. I LOVE LOVE LOVE that I walk away from my meals feeling satisfied and not like I am being deprived.

Luckily my shake provides me with all my vitamins, probiotics, prebiotics, protein  and fruit/veggie servings! So I don’t feel guilty I missed my breakfast portion of veggies, but I will add in extra at lunch and dinner to compensate and be sure I am getting enough calories in so I don’t end the day feeling hangry!

I just finished my workout, and it was GREAT. This eating style is not affecting my workouts at all. I am continuing to kick ass and get that booty lift I was hoping for in this program! A relief, because I was a little worried I would lag in that area, but my energy and stamina is great!

Speaking of- anyone know where I can get a good deal on some new dumb bells? I want 12.5 pounders and 25 pounders, and hate to spend a ton !!
