Snacking can be tricky and a slippery slope when you’re trying to be healthy, lose weight, and getting fit! So many “healthy snacks” in the grocery store can be deceiving, labeled as healthy, but can sabotage your weight loss. I am going to share with you, MY top 5 favorite healthy snacks, that always fit well into my healthy meal plan, provide me fuel in my workouts, and keep me on track!
- Apples and Almond Butter
This is definitely one of my favorites! Super easy, and delicious! I usually use about 1-2 tablespoons of almond butter. My favorite brand of almond butter is BARNEY BUTTER. It is the creamiest of all the brands I have tried. Wanna add even more flavor? Sprinkle some cinnamon or unsweetened coconut flakes on top!
2. Veggies and Hummus
You can not go wrong with this one. Perfectly crunchy w salty! I can’t keep enough hummus in my house! The kids LOVE IT. Forget veggie dip, or chips and dip, this combo is DELISH. And its pretty too! 🙂
3. Avocado Toast
Avocado. Ahhhhh, I love it! My favorite healthy fat. I eat it every day! So So Good. Take a slice of sprouted whole grain toast, or gluten free if need be, and spread avocado over it, sprinkle some salt and crushed pepper, and you have a delicious snack! Want to make it a post workout meal or breakfast? Add an egg on top! You can’t go wrong with it. Super filling, super delicious, super easy !
