Whole30-Day3…..”The Hangover”…

The “day 2-3 hangover” is real my friends……

This morning I woke up, super tired. I slept great, but when I woke up, I couldn’t get out of bed.  And I have a headache. And I have zero patience, for anyone, or anyTHING. I also have my period, so that absolutely does not contribute ANYTHING positive to the experience.

What I Would LOVE right now is a NAP, a cupcake, and Starbucks ….

Yep! I promised to be real and honest with you guys! Day 3 isn’t feeling pretty today! lol But I recognize that this is a normal part of this 30 day process, and it wont last.

I felt really stuck and unmotivated this morning, in relation to everything in my day. I didn’t feel like doing work. I didn’t feel like cooking. I didn’t feel like working out. NADA . So I took the morning off, praise Jesus I am blessed that I can do that. I dove deep into some Personal Development, because that has kind of lacked this week. I read for an hour, while the girls were cuddled with me watching a movie. It was nice to be “unplugged” for a little while and really focus on bettering my mind and receiving lots of warm cuddles. I always feel better after doing PD, I need to incorporate that into my morning routine from here on out. It can only set the day BETTER. ( I have stacks of recommendations here if you ever want ideas!)

It’s 1:30 now, and I have since pulled my shit together, fed the kids, and myself lunch. Lunch today was a delicious salad with pork cutlet and some leftover hard boiled egg whites, with WHOLE30 Ranch dressing.  This stuff is BOMB.  It actually tastes nothing like ranch, but its freaking delish.    http://www.tessemaes.com/products/organic-ranch I got mine at Whole Foods. I also had a super sweet honey crisp apple. Love those damn things. I wish I didn’t have to break the bank every time we stocked up on them! ha!

I am getting ready to get my butt in gear now with my workout. Cardio…. the LAST type of workout I feel like doing today. But even on the days I don’t want to, I still PUSH. I’m not sick, so I am remaining disciplined and doing what I have set out to do for the day.  The girls want to play outside, so OUTSIDE IT IS! Luckily I can stream my workouts from anywhere, so I plan on doing JUST THAT outside while they ride their bikes and draw with chalk. And maybe the fresh beautiful Autumn air and colorful trees is JUST what I need today to get out of this rut.
