WHOLE30 COMPLETE! MY RESULTS!
I DID IT! I DID IT! So glad I took the plunge and decided to do something HARD that I was afraid ” I could never do!”. I have learned so much about my body during this 30 day journey and have had incredible results!!!!!! Here is my before and after pic, I broke a plateau I was having for MONTHS. I feel so much stronger and NO BLOAT. I haven’t had any bloating since I began!
My cravings are GONE. My period even came and gone, and for the first time in YEARS, I did not have a craving for chocolate/and or cake/brownies! That right there is HUGE. I am finding I now crave things like lean meats and veggies now! If anyone knows me, knows I have never been a big meat lover. But I CRAVE these things now. I look forward to having different veggies with my meals! My period also came and left, in half the time that it used to. I used to endure it for 10+ days, and feel like garbage. This month was less than a week and I didn’t feel any different. No cramps, nothing. THIS. IS. HUGE.
I also have learned that aside from just gluten that causes me inflammation and swelling with my joints, canola/vegetable oil does as well. Had I not taken this journey, I would never have known that, and would have continued to be frustrated with eating out , ordering gluten free items and occasionally still having issues. I learned that most restaurants cook with vegetable oil or a combo of veg and olive oil. The two times during this 30 day journey that I got food out, that was grain and gluten free, I still had issues. When I inquired about the cooking oil they used, both confirmed vegetable/canola.
Following this meal plan really made me aware of how GOOD and CLEAN your body can feel when eating basic basic food.
I thought I was going to struggle getting through the second 30 days of Hammer and Chisel without my Performance Recover drink, but I did OK! I only missed it for the first week or so. Was I still sore? YES. But I embraced it and I survived.
WE ARE MADE TO DO HARD SHIT !
WHAT’S NEXT? Tomorrow is DAY 1 of Core De Force with my Beta group. I will be staying pretty on track with WHOLE30/PALEO during these 30 days, aside from a little treat on Thanksgiving and for my Birthday next month. This program will be a big change from Hammer and Chisel. No lifting in this, all MMA style workouts, and no equipment. Am I excited? Yes. Will I miss my lifting? ABSOLUTELY. But, its 30 days, and will be easier through these holidays with traveling! After completing WHOLE30, I am pretty confident that you could throw any program at me and I would persevere!
